Unique Summer Camp Focuses on Cycling as Core Value

Dave Vanderwege: CSCC Immediate Past President and Co-owner

Open to kids from first grade through ninth grades, the camps will be home based in the EagleView Middle School on Vindicator Drive in northwest Colorado Springs.  As noted on the webpage, lunch and a snack will be provided as part of the program.  But, lunch will not just be an ordinary break during the daily activities for the campers.  Rather, throughout the camp session, campers will harvest ingredients from the garden to be used in their meals, help to prepare lunch and yes, clean up, helping with dishes after each meal.  Once a week the food truck from Seeds Community Café, the Go West partner providing lunch and snacks for the campers, will come to camp, helping campers to learn about food preparation and cooking.

For additional information about Go West camps, the Directors of the organization and to register for one of the three summer sessions, go to the Go West website.
