Here's a quick re-cap of the events of the past few months and some social happenings to look forward to this Spring. The 2010 CSCC Holiday Party was held on Saturday night at the Clarion Hotel for members and guests--we set a new attendance record. The party was a smashing success. Everybody enjoyed the buffet, awards, dancing and socializing. Joan and Ron Wesley provided music to dance the night away and CSCC gave gifts (ID Link) to all attendees. Have you submitted your information to ROAD ID?
CSCC technology update: members were able to register and pay for the Holiday Party event on-line. In addition, the tiered pricing structure enabled the club to successfully manage the Holiday Party headcount.
The Garage Mahal was again the scene for Dave Horn's very special birthday (80) party, as folks celebrated with yummy food, beverages, and a cake for our favorite cyclist and photographer. You rock Dave! We wish you many more years of health and bike riding.
Our next social event is the Sweetheart Ride on Sunday, Feb. 13. Bring your honey something special for this ride. The St. Patrick's Day parade and Spud ride with dinner (hosted by Ron Hargrove) are in March. Please join the frolicking for this one as "the more, the merrier". Our club never fails to come out in numbers with some wild costuming. (Could it be green beer for breakfast???) Join us! On spring and summer horizons is another out of town bike day ride, maybe coupled with some camping. We checked out the group camping at Pueblo State Park and it is very cool. Please contact me if you can help coordinate this event. There is also some great mountain biking around the reservoir. I always look forward to hearing from all of you. If you want to put on an event, it is easy to get bike club approval of funds to help you pay expenses. That's all from Chris for now. See you at our next club meeting on Tuesday, FEB 1 at the Clarion.
