Brairgate-Gleneagle Loop
This is a Saturday Fitness Ride Loop that departs from the Shops at Briargate. It is about 35 miles in length with over 2200 feet of climbing. The ride can be shortened to a loop of the Air Force Academy or a loop through Gleneagle. The ride is both scenic and challenging. You will need a government issued photo id to enter the Air Force Academy.

Briargate-Palmer Lake
This route departs the Shops at Briargate and proceeds north through Gleneagle and west on Baptist Rd and north on Old Denver Highway to Monument. From Monument you ride through the scenic Red Rocks Area and onto Palmer Lake. The route proceeds east on County Line Road to Rollercoaster Road and south to Northgate Rd and VoyagerParkway and Hwy 83 to return to The Shops. For an alternate return turn right on Baptist Road off Rollercoaster just south of the Higby turn. From Baptist turn left on Gleneagle and retrace your tracks through Gleneagle to return to The Shops. This is a moderate to difficult route of 41 miles with over 1600 feet of climbing through some very nice residential areas north of Colorado Springs. This route is a regular Saturday Fitness Ride Loop.

Briargate-Vollmer Loop
The Brairgate-Vollmer Loop departs the from the Shops at Briargate and makes a loop through the Briargate Area and out Templeton Gap Road into the Black Forest on Vollmer Road. The route continues north to Hogden Rd and west to Black Forest Rd and north to Walker Rd and west again to Rollercoaster Rd and south to Northgate and returns to The Shops via Voyager Parkway and Hwy 83. This is a moderate/difficult ride of 40 miles with 1550 feet of climbing. This is one of our regular loops for the Saturday Fitness Ride.

Safeway - Ft Carson-PPIR
This starts from the Safeway Shopping Center on Hwy 115 and South Academy Blvd. This road loop is one of several routes used for our Saturday Fitness Ride. The ride is 42 ,iles in length and can be ridden clockwise or counter clockwise. This route cue sheet describes the clockwise version of the route. The route can be extended to over 50 miles by riding north on Powers Blvd from the first rest point of the ride at the Security Safeway. This is also described in the cue description. This is a relatively easy 40+ mile ride with only 1,020 of elevation gain over the entire route. The enters Fort Carson on both out and turn legs so a government issued photo ID is required to enter the post.

Safeway 115 - Hanover
The Safeway Hwy 115 Loop 1 starts the from the Safeway Shopping Center at CO Highway 115 and South Academy Blvd. This ride is long 66 mile loop with shorter options as explained in the cue sheet. The ride is long but not that difficult with less than 1700 feet of vertical gain. The route is very rural so stop at the recommended stops to replenish liquids and food. There is a park on the left just north of Hanover but there was no water there the last time we did this route. You may be able to obtain water at the church in Hanover. The route return is through Fort Carson via Gate 20 and 3. A government issued photo id is required to enter Fort Carson. The club has used this route on the Saturday Fitness Ride.

Safeway 115 - Widefield
The Safeway Hwy 115 - Security/Widefield Loop is a variation on the Saturday Fitness Ride loops from the Safeway at Hwy 115 and South Academy. This loop spends a bit more time riding through the towns of Security and Widefield than the other loops. It also offers shorter and longer ride options which are detailed in the cue sheet. There are two rest stop options on the route. This is fun rather fast loop that mixes up town and rural riding. By adding the out and back to the PPIR turn around point the ride is 48 miles with a little over 1100 feet of vertical elevation gain.

Safeway Hwy 115 Loop 1
The Safeway Hwy 115 Loop 1 starts the from the Safeway Shopping Center at CO Highway 115 and South Academy Blvd. The ride heads east on Academy Blvd and passes throught the Cheyenne Meadows subdivision and north of Circle Drive to Las Vegas Street and then south on Hwy 85/87. It then heads east out Powers Blvd to Bradley Rd and Markshuffle South of Fountain. This route can be extended to 50 miles by riding south on Old Pueblo Hwy towards PPIR. This is a lower difficult ride with less 1400 feet of vertical gain. The route returns through Fort Carson via Gate 20. A government issued photo id is required to enter Fort Carson. The club uses this route as regular route for the Saturday Fitness Ride.
